I've been going to a private school for the last eleven years. It's going to be hard leaving at the end of this year...

I'm home schooled. Sometimes I wish I could go to private school, but I appreciate the flexibility of home school.

Really? Are there Homeschool Co-Ops in your area?

I have been homeschooled my whole life, except for Kindergarten. When I was in Kindergarten, I was reading a book, and the teacher said we were just supposed to look at the pictures, not read. I was told that I was not allowed to read because I wasn't in the grade to be reading yet. But my mom had taught me to read at home. So when my mom found out that my teacher had told me I was not allowed to read, we started homeschooling. And I never went back to public school again.

What about at Church? Any friends there? I went to Christian private school just a ton boy drama, friend drama etc.. Too much homework.

Ryan that's ridiculous sounds like Ms. Caroline from To Kill a Mockingbird! I'm glad your Mommy Dear decided to Homeschool you so you could read!

Maybe you should try to seek friends actively. Maybe they're not intentionally trying to ignore you. You won't know until you try.

I feel like I've hardly met any homeschoolers who don't like homeschooling. I'm on an island.

I have met lots who HATE it, but they were somewhat wordly. You live on an island? Is there anyone on it? lol

Sometimes I could hang out with kids my own age. As I said before, I wish I could go to private school. These are really the only two options for me because our schools where I live are pretty bad. So, I guess, sometimes I am hanging out on the same island.

Wait a sec... I haven't commented here yet? That's a huge oversight.

I'm homeschooled, too, which is really the only reason I have time for Campbell County, along with half a dozen other things most people my age don't have time for. I love home schooling. Smile

Considering the state of our public schools, homeschooling is the only way to go. Politically incorrect books! Homeschool or Public School - Page 2 Eusa_dance

Homeschooling is the best thing I know. I used to go to a private school once upon a time, and even there, I was bullied out of it. There was too much structure, and too much acting. There was also a lot of "food chain" trouble, which is where I was stomped into the ground like dead grass. Also, when my dad became twice as ill as before, and we had to take so much time off for hospital visits and such, I became so far behind. Then, we switched to homeschooling, and life became a lot easier. It's flexible, I get to work on my own schedule, which means getting ahead instead of behind! And, no more drama. I still am social, because of church and co-ops, and I also have time to do the things I love! It's fantastic.
