Post-a-Quote
So, I have a notebook 2/3 full of quotes, poems, song lyrics, and one liners. I'd like to share some of them and I'd love to get some new ones to add to my notebook.
They walked along, two continents of experience and feeling, unable to communicate. ~ Lord of the Flies by Golding.

Re: Post-a-Quote
That's a creative way to fill a notebook! Do you have a specific theme? When you said "quotes," I thought of two of my favorite quotes about prayer, and when you said "song lyrics," I thought of a wacky song line, that my siblings and I are constantly quoting.
Maybe you don't have a specific theme, but you have a general goal in mind of what you want to reflect (I don't know if that clarifies my question anymore)?

Now, that's ingenious.IrishTiger wrote:How to be immortal: Read this tomorrow and follow its advice.

Nope, no theme, just anything I hear/read that I like. Prayers, Bible verses, Adventures in Odyssey lines, anything. I usually write things down that inspire me, make me laugh, is true, or just sounds wonderful.Sunshine wrote:That's a creative way to fill a notebook! Do you have a specific theme? Re: Post-a-Quote
I actually found this one from GG, I believe:
Death cannot stop love. It can only delay it for a while.
I also like:
There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate. -Charles Dickens
and then two quotes from one of my favorite books,
"How are you feeling?"
"Oh, I'm grand. I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up, my friend."
"Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put together until all living humans read the book." (This seriously sums up me whenever I read a really good book.)
I would yell out a bunch of TCF quotes, but I've written enough, plus, no one else would understand them but me.

Haha. And yes, you totally should read it again.

Now we're back to the beginning
It's just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can't feel it too
Doesn't mean that you have to forget
Let your memories grow stronger and stronger
Til they're before your eyes
You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye

Re: Post-a-Quote
TFiOS is probably the best book I've read recently. I'm kind of bummed out that it's being made into a movie, I don't want it to get ruined, but it would take quite a lot to ruin TFiOS...AudPod wrote:WAITWAITWAIT, you've read TFIOS?

Re: Post-a-Quote
Yeah. However, John looks like he has been involved with it a LOT. He's freaking out more than all the fans are. xD So I don't think he'll pull a Percy Jackson and let the movie be nothing like the book. From what I've seen so far, it looks pretty accurate, but I guess we won't know until it comes out.
And yeah, it would be pretty hard to ruin that book. I just rererereread (I reread books a lot. Haha. Especially this one.) it a few days ago, actually.
Random Fact:
In another book series I liked that is being turned into a movie, Divergent, Ansel and Shailene (the people who are playing Gus and Hazel) are playing siblings. So it should be interesting to watch after I've watched Divergent.

Re: Post-a-Quote
Do you like the actors they've picked for Divergent? I don't really. Woodley doesn't look how I imagine Tris and James really doesn't look how I imagine Four. But, I think it's cool it gonna be a movie.AudPod wrote:

=O
YOU'VE READ DIVERGENT?!
Okay. I need to calm down. Haha.
I am not quite sure. But I don't really like Theo James. Four is supposed to be 18, not 28. >.> And from what I've seen, Theo DEFINITELY acts 28 while Shailene acts about 16 or 17, which is what she is supposed to be. But yeah, I don't like how Shailene looks. Same with Theo. They're not at all like they were described in the books. However, I know I'll still see the movie, and freak out. Haha.
