Christmas music
Well it's gonna happen sooner or later.....I've already heard some being played at some stores and maybe a little on the radio. Have they started playing Christmas music in your area? Do you think it seems like it gets here sooner every year? What are your thoughts on Christmas music in general?
Re: Christmas music
I just have to say that I LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC! It really gets me on in the spirit of Christmas!
Re: Christmas music
I like it, but closer to Christmas. Before Thanksgiving it kinda...it can make it get old before it even gets to December.....Although I really like christmas remixes like relient k's version of 12 days of Christmas.
Re: Christmas music
Ya, Relient K's Christmas CD is great. There are a few other modern remix CD's that I like, for example, Jars of Clay's and Future of Forestry's. They're both great remixes of really good Christmas songs.Eagle's Pride wrote:I like it, but closer to Christmas. Re: Christmas music
I haven't even paid attention to Christmas music... my mother hasn't started listening, weirdly enough... and I've never really gotten into Christmas music. Seems to be getting so that I only listen to it on Christmas... and hear it anywhere else! lol. Weird, I know.
Christmas music just seems to be off handed to me... I have a few good songs I listen to. Mary Did You Know, His Favorite Christmas Story... and I think a few others, but nothing really gets to me. Oh, and A Strange Way to Save the World.
Amy Grant is AMAZING!

Re: Christmas music
I love me some Christmas music...This is my favorite time of the year and its usually presents the best opportunities to present the gospel and people will be more open to it.
Being in college music is a bog thing and thats why I like the Christmas X CD it contains "Mary Did You Know" by Kutless, an awesome guitar remix of "Carol of the Bells" by August Burns Red" and many more great Christmas songs.

Re: Christmas music
There's something about Christmas music that makes me...really happy. I put some, along with christmassy Odyssey episodes onto my zune the other day. I think I need more though.....
Re: Christmas music
Allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll day I've been humming some kind of music. Some of it was definitely Christmassy.
However, at one point, I was humming that "hush little baby don't you cry, mommy's gonna buy you a..." (Well, you get the picture. ) song while on the elevator, leaving the mental ward in the hospital.
Later, I was singing " YEAAAA YOU REALLY GOT ME NOW! YOU GOT ME SO I DON"T KNOW WHAT I;M DOING!" while making milkshakes. And, I was humming lots of Christmas songs while doing other things as well. And, though, I'm going through them all right now in my head, I can't quite put together enough words from anyone one song to actually type it.
Day after Thanksgiving, it's like, TURN ON THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dunno. I like it. But at some point, yo've got to know when that's enough!! hahaha. Thoguh my tolerance point I've learned, is much higher than others.

I really like Mary Did You Know too. Oh and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen I've always liked, probably because I sung it with the children at our church years ago.

Re: Christmas music
I like it moderately. I haven't started listening yet, but I will soon.
I really like modern renditions of old Christmas songs, sorta like Christmas X and stuff.

Me too. I downloaded Relient k's christmas album and am looking at others to get as well. I like the Christmas x album. I like the moden style versions cause it puts them to more of an upbeat style and doesn't take any many away from the words.
Re: Christmas music
So, I just downloaded Sleeping at Last's Christmas CD and I would highly recommend it. It's free (and completely legal) on NoiseTrade.com. Get it.
If you're wondering how it could be legal, all the artists upload their own songs.
Just go to Top Downloads and it's the first one. At least, at the moment it is. Also, you should check out the Sara Groves Christmas one. It's on the Top Downloads page too.
Btw, they're both Christian artists.
