What do a role-playing,
character-guessing game, a special holiday raffle, and a massive
chocolate food fight have in common? Why, the 2013 Campbell County
Valentine's Day Party, of course!
I contacted two admins who were
involved in the planning of the party, and who also were among the
top posters: Sko and Sunshine.
Sunshine in particular registered a bit
of disappointment over the turn-out for the party. She did, however,
concede that perhaps, the poor showing may have been due, in part, to
poor planning and advertising on the part of the admins.
Sko reasoned that activity was so low
due to lack of posts. “It's a chain reaction. The less posts there
are to respond to, the less people post. Which means that there are
less posts to respond to than before. We just need to reverse this
by posting more.”
Taking second place in number of views
and in activity is the Valentine's Day Chocolate Food Fight, which
was initiated by Sunshine. I asked her how she felt about activity
related to this. “I'm pleased it got going
so well, although I'm a bit disappointed that there has been lack of
activity for the past day or two....It's getting a little crazy, but
hey, that's what sugar does to ya'!
“
I also asked
Sunshine to reveal what inspired her to post Father's Love Letter to
the party index. She explained that she likes the letter so well
because it is composed solely of Scripture, not an interpretation of
it, and when you read all the verses together, they are special.
“Being that the love letter is from God to
us, it only seemed fitting for our Valentine's Day celebration.”
Finally, I asked
both Sko and Sunshine if they had any words for the general public
concerning activity in general. Sko's reply seemed to capture the
essence of their answers: “We, the Admins, can't keep the forum
going strong on our own. We can keep things going the right
direction, but we really need you to post. So far, I've noticed
activity is coming back slowly, and I thank you all.

If you would like to, I would welcome the help. We could each do every other edition. Does that work?
