November is nearly upon us now, just a little over three weeks. So, that means I'm going to be starting a novel soon.
For those of you who aren't familiar with NaNoWriMo, it's a month-long event where you try to write a 50k word novel. That's 1667 words a day. Which is kind of a lot. Not to mention the tragic results of missing a day for whatever reason.
So, who else is going to be doing NaNoWriMo this year?

Honestly I would love to give this a try some day. Some day when things aren't as busy?... Not sure this "some day " will ever come. It sounds like a fantastic event. If you need pep talkers remind us to do so.

I'm sure you'll do great, Sko! I hope I can keep up with reading your story. =)
Needless to say, even if I did have the time, 50,000 words in one month is way past my skill level.

I quit at 7k last year, because I couldn't handle it. In all likelihood, I'll do that again. But, at the moment, I'm busy placing roadblocks in the way of quitting.Sunshine wrote:I'm sure you'll do great, Sko! I hope I can keep up with reading your story. =)
