The Campbell County Historical Society Empty The Campbell County Historical Society

Post by The Old Judge 30th September 2012, 5:53 pm

Welcome to the Campbell County Historical Society! You expected a bunch of boring old shelves full of records, didn't you? Well, you're wrong! This is a trivia game show dedicated to days gone by of the County. Whoever gains the most points wins, and we'll work something out for a prize, probably a blue ribbon or a gold medal. Are you ready? Good, then let's start?

Question 1: What user was a poetry fanatic/romantic, writing the poem "Stars Do Not Compare" to his ex-girlfriend who dumped him?

Start searching the archives! Happy Hunting!

Here are the scores:

GJoy---4
Bren---3
Monty--1
Wooton Z. Bassett--1
Jason--1 and 1 "Brownie Point" (which means absolutely nothing).
CD333-5

Bren, that is right!!! "Snowball Fight" has appeared annually in every Campbell County celebration so far: CC Christmas '09, Holiday House '10, and Holiday House '11.

And, Jason, since you got it correct, (and asked me), I guess you can have a 'brownie point'. They won't have any value, though. You might get a prize brownie or something.

Moving on! Question #3: what was the name of Campbell County's first, and only, labor union?

I am so sorry, it appears I have made a mistake. I thought there were two made, but I just checked the archives and there was one I didn't know existed. So, GJoy takes home her second point, Putting her in 1st place!

Question #5: In what forum is CC's 2nd birthday topic located? (This is a harder one. You'll need to do a little bit of searching.)

Correctamundo!!! And that puts Wooton Z. Bassett on the board!!! Always remember, to check the scores, I will be constantly be updating the first post in this topic with the updated scores.

It appears it is time for.......the Multiple Choice Question!!! *Theme music begins*

Here's the question:

What locked-in-the-vault-never-to-be-seen-again-by-anybody forum was designed with the purpose of allowing CC user to converse with Adventures in Odyssey "characters"?

A). The Timothy Center B). Finneman's Market C). Pokenberry Falls D) Shank's Manor E). Campbell County Community College F). None of the Above

This is a forum that has been closed and sealed off from the general public, so this will kind of be a hit-and-miss type of question. However, because eventually one user would narrow down all the choices, you get one chance per person on this question, maybe two, but not until I say you can. Let's start! You guys are doing good!

Actually, the Point goes to CD333, it was Shallow Esophagus.

T.S., you don't have to be around here for a long time. I only joined in June. See, when I give you a question, take either the choices or the name of the topic and put it in the search engine. The results will then pop up. Just browse around for the answers.

Question #9: Who were the three people that took part in the Brainstorm Sessions for the creation of Campbell County?
