What does Valentines day mean to you? Empty What does Valentines day mean to you?

Is it just a day of commercialism and such? Is it a day only meant for romantic affairs? Or, can it be anything you want it to be? Can it be about friendship? The love of a brother? The love of God? What does valentines day truly mean to you?

Generally, Valentine's Day has been about romance to me. My parent's have always told us that Valentine's Day should be only for married couples. Being homeschooled, I've never given out Valentine's Day cards to anyone, nor celebrated it as some sort of holiday.

I would like to use it as a special reminder of God's love for me, although I'm still working on creating a new mindset of it. =)

For me, it's a fun day where I get to make pretty cards and send them out to all my friends!

I never think much of it. To me it is a romantic day. Any way here it isn't the day to spend with your wife, it is the day to start an affair.

For me, I just watch it fly by. There is some sort of underlying romantic insinuation in the holiday, but I'm not there yet, so why bother "celebrating" it. Wink

That's generally my view of it, too. I don't 100% ignore Valentine's Day, but it has little significance for me at this stage of my life.
