Re: (US Debate) Iraq
Even if you disagree with us entering the war, there are better things to do than just send everyone home right now.

And I think we are in too deep to just pull out. They need some level of stability.

Re: (US Debate) Iraq
The trouble with the war on/with Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan is that its a basic useless war. We shouldn't have been there in the first place, regardless.
But, now that we are in it, yes, we should create stability and get out. Obama is attempting. Its never an easy job. Bush just felt like sitting on dry ground... and let those that *really aren't* keeping our freedom safe die. Remember Vietnam? An almost repeat. We walked into a country that really didn't want us... didnt' need us. Even though it started with four planes, over three thousand souls, and a hunt for invisible weapons...
So, yeah, we should *sorta* finish what we started, but I wonder, at what cost? It won't be our freedom. Those fighting don't need to be fighting... We should be more scared of Canada right now... seriously. But, of course... fighting for country is fighting for country... what we call freedom...
One of my best friends, Andrew, has been accepted to West Point. I'm accepting of his choice, because he's awesome, but I don't necessarily agree with the fighting... Life lessons can be learned, but once again, what cost?

She means that other countries pose more of a threat than Iraq and Afghanistan.

Re: (US Debate) Iraq
I believe we should not be in Iraq for the simple reason that we were not wanted there by the people and never have been thus it is an UNjust war and in an unjust war it is a sin to kill but I do think we should be in Afghanistan because it is the entire purpose of the government to defend the people. I think war is awful but what would have happened if the US hadn't entered world war 2 but we should if we are going to enter a war we MUST try to win
