That is the definition of it. The entomology is where the word came from. I'll just tell you because it's so cool! It came fro Dr. Seuss's 1950's book If I Ran the Zoo. It was a name for one of the animals. Cool huh!

Actually, keyboard is often more chord based, as opposed to note based for piano. But of course there are exceptions.
