Hair: Light brown hair, normally kept in a bun or a french twist.

Beliefs: Christian - Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Job: CIA

Personality: Logical, quiet, and observant. Is good at following instructions and only breaks the rules if absolutely unnecessary.

Uncommon Appearances: She doesn't bother with makeup when she doesn't have to...?

History: Is not very experienced, but makes a great sidekick for cases.

Skills: Is handy with a pistol, but better with martial arts.

Family: Comes from a Chrisitan family of seven kids. Is the 5th child. One brother in the army.

Talents/Powers: She is not claustrophobic, which comes in handy for fitting into tight spaces.

Weaknesses: She is a bit self-conscious when around older detectives, but tries not to let that get in the way of her work. Has a little trouble knowing what to do if she doesn't have instructions.

No problem! There's no rush whatsoever. I'm just glad that people haven't forgotten about it.

Let's get this RPG started! I posted the first part for everyone to go off of. I can't wait to see what everyone does for their character's personalities!

What is RPG?

Arkan, please do not reply to topics more than 3 months old, its called bumping and is against the rules.

An RPG is a fun game-like sort of activity. We all make a story together. So As you saw above, you have a character, like you would in a story you were writing. So since I started this, I might tell everyone who joined the RPG the plot, time, and setting, and do the first paragraph of the story. Then other users would add on to mine, so it would be kind of like this:

Example:

Me:
Nancy walked down the lane toward the department store and looked through the window. There lay the dark blue velvety scarf that she wanted so badly. Well, at least no one's taken it yet. I almost have enough money to buy it.

Different User:

Elaine walked down the sidewalk and breathed in a lung-full of fresh, clean air. "Ah, what a beautiful day!" she said, as the wind tousled her hair. It was getting dark, and she was on her way home from her nightly errands. Elaine looked down the street and saw Nancy looking in the window of the department store. "I wonder what she's looking at," Elaine said to herself.

It would continue on like this from that point and other players would then join the scene. I hope this helps!

Job: Secret Agent, undercover singer and guitarist, member of the band Moonlight

Uncommon Appearances: An alley in New York City or a bar in Miami

History: His parents died when he was 16, and he's now living a normal life. Little does he know what's about to happen...

Skills: He's good at everything but the things he's not good at, which are nothing, nothing, and nothing.

Family: No family. His aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, parents, and siblings all died suspiciously in various accidents. He's the only one left.

Weapons: A knife he'll carry around when he's on a case, and a camera that he uses to incriminate criminals.

Talents/Powers: He's a good singer and guitarist, and he's good at detection and crime-fighting. No superpowers.

Weaknesses: His love for people. He never wants to harm villains, no matter how evil they are. He sometimes thinks he's not cut out for the detective world.

I'm not really sure... I would guess that it would be okay, since Lark is trying to get this going again anyway - unless if an admin tells us differently.

I'm guessing the rule of bumping is just to keep everything organized, and make sure people aren't always posting on old topics.

I think this would be fun. In fact, to show my support, I'm jumping on board.

Family: All his living relatives live in a different country. He's alone.

Weapons: Several antique (and well cared for) swords he almost never uses, a handgun passed down to him from his father (also seldom used), and some basic self-defense training.

Talents/Powers: Able to do complicated math without paper.

Weaknesses: Very bad with modern technology. If it's electronic, he can't figure it out.

Ryan, if you wouldn't mind being a criminal/bad guy, we could probably stand to have at least one if not more.

Loyalty: Nobody knows. I can be on either side, good or bad, I work for myself. I am willing to help whoever I feel like.

Beliefs: Christian, unless I turn out to be a bad guy, then I am an agnostic

Job: I am your jack of all trades (I do whatever I need to do to earn money) and I also know everything about anyone, so if you need any info on where someone is, I can tell.

Personality: Sneaky, interesting, like to play, smart, intelligent, wise.

Uncommon Appearances: Sometimes wheres a trench coat, and also wears disguises at times.

History: Nobody knows where I come from.

Skills: A lot of things. I can play guitar, ukulele, piano and bass guitar. Good at fixing things, basically a jack of all trades.

Family: I have a family somewhere, but it's a secret. My character is very secretive.

Weapons: Two airsoft pistols in my pockets, and a tazer.

Talents/Powers: deduction, shadowing, sneakiness, and wicked fast reflexes.

(I need to think of a motive for some criminal activity...)

And I guess I will be a mysterious helper that nobody knows the motives or side of. I may be good, or bad. You won't know until the story's climax!

RPG stands for "Role Playing Game". You pretty much make up a character and play the game as him/her. I'm not sure exactly what this RPG will be like, but I assume that after the game starts, you should post with your character's actions.

For example:

Person one: I walk into a large, empty room.
Person two: I jump out and scare you.
Person one: I scream.
Person three: I laugh
Person two: I turn on the lights, laughing.
Person one: I leave the room.

Of course, the story and actions are going to much more complicated than that...

I wasn't planning to, but I seem to be using Hughes as one of my main characters, so I figured I'd go ahead and fill this out for him, just to have it handy.

Race: Suntan complexion

Clothes: Slacks, and casual, collared shirt - normally untucked. (Not nice and neat, but not extremely sloppy either.)

Hair: Light brown hair, kept rather short.

Loyalty: Very dependable.

Beliefs: Not certain.

Job: CIA

Personality: He loves to work out puzzles, although he can also become impatient when he is doing so. He likes to think while on the move, sometimes talking out loud to himself. He has a matter-of-fact attitude, which can make people not want to be around him as much, unless if you really get to know him. He's a detailed person.

Uncommon Appearances:

History: He was an only child.

Skills: He can be a leader, or go solo.

Family:

Weapons: Carries a gun, although he mainly uses it just to threaten, using it only when needed.

Talents/Powers: He likes to use martial arts. He also has a way of using logic to persuade people.

Weaknesses: He's a perfectionist.
