Google Hangout for election debate?

Assuming we can find a time that would work for everyone, how many of you candidates and voters would show up for a debate on a Google+ Hangout? Pretty much, it would be like a big skype call between everyone who shows up, except it automatically gets saved on Youtube for later review.

It would be interesting to have a debate between candidates on G+, although it may be a little complicated to set up (I'm guessing at least a few of you don't have Google accounts). If it won't work, we can always try the chatbox, which is presumably reliable. Either way, I'd like to have an official debate event. All the platforms are looking great, but it's pretty hard to tell who would be a better admin.

Yeah but I have multiple problems:
1. I have a Google account but not a Google+ and it's not really mine
and 2. I can't chat with people I have no idea who they are
so hopefully we can do it in chatbox

Those are good reasons. Doing it the chatbox should be fine, though.

That would be so awesome I have to see if I will be able to be if you do set one up, Sko.
Because living here on a Island, It costs us $$$ to be online, Especially Video Chatting, on G+ or Face time, It really eats us up. But other than that, Great Idea

We should just do it in chat cause I can't even do video chatting with two people well.

What is wrong with the traditional way? I don't like sharing personal information online, so if this were done, I would not video chat.

Is it possible just to do a picture for your position on the Hangout? I have a mic, but no webcam.
